About me

Jane Owen

Coach, educator and researcher

I started this blog to provide a real outlet for all the amazing studies, books and activities I am finding. Research which supports the idea that interacting ‘with’ and ‘in’ nature is what we all are predisposed to do and as such, benefit from greatly.

As a lecturer of young adults, I see how societal pressure combined with technology, impact on self-esteem, confidence and ambition. I am interested in how natural interactions can offer respite from those pressures and ultimately see young people flourishing.

Within my role as a coach, I support colleagues, students and clients. Research, training and experience lead me towards a Eco-coaching and Green coaching position. It’s fascinating to observe how the quiet of a natural environment can open up the most productive of coaching conversations.

This green space and slowing of time produces a natural flow of thinking, ideas and solutions.
